The Friars Foundation presents: The Lincoln Awards: A Concert for Veterans & the Military Family

At the same time as the People’s Choice Awards, TV Tech was also working across the country at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Here, we were tech managing the Lincoln Awards presented by the Friars Foundation. This was a two day event celebrating veterans and military families, and honoring those who provide support and opportunities to these groups. It featured a special award show on January 6th and an All-Star Concert on January 7th, with performances from big names across the entertainment industry. Be sure to tune in this spring, when the show is set for a prime time broadcast on PBS.

41st People’s Choice Awards

The 41st Annual People’s Choice Awards took place at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA, marking the 5th year in a row that TV Tech Managers has tech managed the show. Technical components of the 11 camera production included: scenic elements including a massive LED wall, live concert performances by Iggy Azalea , Fall Out Boy, and Lady Antebellum, a live internet broadcast of the pre-show Red Carpet to the People’s Choice Awards website, and a televised broadcast of the show on CBS. All of this was made possible by an incredibly talented and hard working 75 person tech crew. It was an excellent way for us to kick off 2015.

American Country Countdown Awards

TV Tech’s last show of the year, but first show of award show season was the American Country Countdown Awards. The production was broadcast live from the Music City Center in Nashville, TN on December 15th. In addition to award presentations, it also featured live performances from many of today’s biggest country music stars, including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Jason Aldean.
